After dressing ten skeletons like Taylor Swift for Halloween, a Wisconsin mom gained millions of followers on TikTok.
After dressing ten Halloween skeletons in threads to resemble Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour, a “Swiftie” from Wisconsin is creating a stir in her neighborhood and on TikTok.
Sun Prairie resident Katelyn McLaughlin claimed that she was motivated to make her exhibit after going to one of Swift’s performances in June with a friend. She started assembling plastic skeletons and working on the Swift-popularized costumes.
“I was obsessed with watching the show’s videos to see which clothes were in the cases because I couldn’t stop thinking about how great of an idea it was,” McLaughlin, 36, said to Fox News Digital. She added that she had set the skeletons in frames to resemble one of the concert’s sets.
In addition to being in love with Taylor Swift, working on all of the [clothing] pieces that were going to be on these skeletons was a creative release for me. It was a great time.
According to McLaughlin, the project was a family affair, with her husband and children contributing to the case construction.
Fishing line was used to support the skeletons, and a friend installed lights that blink in time with different Swift songs.
Millions of people have watched the videos McLaughlin uploaded of the exhibit, which she called the “ScarEras Tour,” on TikTok, where they have also received hundreds of positive comments.
According to McLaughlin, the décor has also seemed to be well-liked by-passing cars.
McLaughlin observed, “They pause and take a picture.
“I’ve had a lot of encounters. Friendship bracelets are something I’ve produced and given to individuals who come by,” McLaughlin added, mentioning that Swifties had been trading bracelets of the same kind at recent shows.
McLaughlin expressed her hope for Swift’s response on the skeletons, but acknowledged that the celebrity is “extremely busy.”
McLaughlin laughed and added, “I always joke that if she responded, I would lay down and pass away.”
“If she made contact, that would be the most incredible thing. I hope it made her happy if she saw it.”
